Author’s Note: Originally written for the cox_and_co Beeton Off Challenge, but it doesn’t quite fit the prompt of: "Tokens of affection - words aren't always the clearest speech." So I guess that this is more “inspired” by the challenge. I put the fic away for a few weeks, looked at it again tonight, and thought, “Hey, this isn’t so bad.
