Title: Moonlighting

Summary:  Written for the Excessant 2008 Spander Illuminations Celebration.  I couldn't think of anything with just 'illuminations" as the theme so Laz gave me a few more parameters (I think I got them all, more or less) -

The illumination is neon, a sign that Spike sees, and sees 'wrong' or misinterprets in some way.
It leads him to a venue where he finds Xander doing something completely unexpected.
Xander stops Spike getting into a fight, but ends up in one himself.
Spike takes Xander home (whose? your choice) and, on the way, steals something from a public Christmas display or nativity or...? 
Xander's reaction to the stolen 'gift' is not what Spike expects.
