Authors Notes: Romance, I believe means different things to different people. Holmes is not an emotional character but I do think he would welcome love even if he was not fully equipped to deal with it. When this topic first came up on the HolmesSlash group I immediately put him in the "better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all" category. This story is told from Holmes point of view.
